| The Mountain Breeze Motel was spared somehow. The trail system is a key part of the area and was not so fortunate and sustained some serious Damage through hard work and some very dedicated people the town of Gilbert and the trail system are once again open for business. Trail riders are an important part of the local economy not to mention the Mountains are beautiful in the spring so pack up those quads and motorcycles and come spend a few days with us riding the trails! |
| On the evening of May 8 and the early morning of May 9, 2009 a devastating flood struck Gilbert, West Virginia and surrounding counties. This flood was the largest natural disaster in our history. There has been a relief fund set up to help with the immediate needs in the affected areas. Every single person in the area has lost something and for far too many the losses are devastating.
